Daily Routine for Acne-Prone Skin

We continue this week with some more skin care tips. This time we are going to explain how to build an easy and effective day and night skin care routine to combat acne.

First, we must be aware that acne treatments do not work on the first day and we must be patient. However, the results will come when you follow your routine daily. It also depends on the person and the type of acne one is dealing with, but after four to six weeks it is possible to appreciate a significant improvement.

This is the skin care routine you should follow every day if you have acne-prone skin.

1. Daily day and night cleansing

It is a basic and important step and must be done regardless of the skin type. Especially those with an oily and/or acne-prone skins, it is important to remove all the impurities, sweat and the pollution accumulated during the day to prevent the pores being clogged and infections being caused. We recommend the use of any of these cleansing gels.

Zitclean by Acnemy. A gentle cleansing gel with less than 10% surfactants, which makes it non-irritating.  Zitclean® keeps zits at bay while caring for your skin. The formula is supported by two top ingredients: Salicylic Acid and Azeloglycine (azelaic acid + glycine), which gently exfoliate the skin and control excess sebum.

Acne Cleansing Gel from Farmaskin. A cleansing gel with salicylic acid that gently removes impurities from the skin, helping to reduce excess sebum and prevent the appearance of acne breakouts.

And remember, cleansing should be done in the morning as well as at night

2. Toning and pH balance

It is necessary to use a tonic after cleansing to balance the pH of the skin and to calm and soften it. We suggest these two options.

Sebum Control Face Solution from BIOD. This tonic is perfect for oily and acne-prone skin thanks to its sebum-regulating action. It helps to maintain the balance of the skin as well as to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin thanks to its powerful regenerating power.

3. Hydration and protection

Using a moisturizer helps to reinforce our natural protective barrier and even acts on it, in addition to treating specific aspects of our skin. For acne-prone, oily skin, it is crucial to choose soft products, such as gels or emulsions, with the optimal level of hydration and suiting our current “skin situation”.

Zitcontrol by Acnemy. A cream that controls pimples, reduces them and prevents their appearance. Packed with ingredients such as salicylic acid, zinc PCA, niacinamide and quora noniPRCF, which have the properties to truly control, reduce and prevent zits.

Acne Control Cream from Farmaskin. It is an anti-blemish face cream that hydrates and at the same time mattifies the skin. Salicylic acid stands out from the ingredient list. Recommended by experts as it promotes the relief of acne by reducing swelling and redness, it also opens the pores of the skin, allowing blackheads to dry out. This cream will help restore your skin’s healthy appearance and prevent the formation of new breakouts and blemishes.

Oil-Free Mattifying Cream from Farmaskin. This mattifying face cream is also a good candidate for those who have oily or sensitive skin. Thanks to its technology it helps regulate excess sebum, thus reducing pore size. This helps prevent clogging for potentially healthy, blemish-free skin.

4. Specific treatments for night use

The metabolism is in charge of marking the cycles that differentiate between the day and night phases of our organs. And the skin is our biggest organ. That is why it is important to learn how to take care of it at the right time. When we sleep we optimize our rest and, of course, the rest of our cells. That is why the skin also doubles the effect of the cosmetics we apply on it at night.
